Job Opening: Electronics Assembler
Perform assembly of printed circuit boards, cables and mechanical assemblies. Operate automated machinery and perform detailed testing procedures.
Requirements and duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform hand soldering and rework of complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) with through hole, surface mount, and fine pitch/0201/0402 surface mount components
Read and interpret assembly drawings and parts lists
Kit/bin-out materials for upcoming assemblies
Use a stencil to screen printed circuit boards with solder paste and place components with tweezers, air nozzle, and/or manual pick and place machine
Operate automated assembly equipment: automatic optical inspection - AOI, X-ray, wave solder, selective solder, etc…)
Keep track of and report excess materials to be returned to stock
Build cable assemblies including crimping, soldering, pinning, and testing for continuity
Perform box builds using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches
Mechanically inclined and experienced in the use of a variety of hand tools such as soldering irons/stations, screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, etc. Follows directions with little supervision, meets deadlines, dedicated work ethic, team player, detail oriented, organized.
General soldering experience with various SMT and through hole components including leadless IC packages; experience soldering under a microscope and soldering wiring harnesses/assemblies; Experience operating automated assembly and test equipment; IPC/JSTD certification desirable, inspection experience desirable, computer literacy desirable, willing to train strong entry level candidate
High School Diploma
Current IPC and/or JSTD soldering certification preferred.
