Job Type: Full-time

Summary:
Perform assembly of printed circuit boards, cables and mechanical assemblies. Operate automated machinery and perform detailed testing procedures.

Requirements and duties include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Perform hand soldering and rework of complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) with through hole, surface mount, and fine pitch/0201/0402 surface mount components.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and parts lists
  • Kit/bin-out materials for upcoming assemblies.
  • Use a stencil to screen print circuit boards with solder paste and place components with tweezers, air nozzle, and/or manual pick and place machine.
  • Operate automated assembly equipment: automatic optical inspection – AOI, X-ray, wave solder, selective solder, etc…).
  • Keep track of and report excess materials to be returned to stock.
  • Build cable assemblies including crimping, soldering, pinning, and testing for continuity.
  • Perform box builds using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches.

Work Skills:
Mechanically inclined and experienced in the use of a variety of hand tools such as soldering irons/stations, screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, etc. Follows directions with little supervision, meets deadlines, dedicated work ethic, team player, detail oriented, organized.

Experience:
General soldering experience with various SMT and through hole components including leadless IC packages; experience soldering under a microscope and soldering wiring harnesses/assemblies; Experience operating automated assembly and test equipment; IPC/JSTD certification desirable, inspection experience desirable, computer literacy desirable, willing to train strong entry level candidate

Education:
High School Diploma

Certifications:
Current IPC and/or JSTD soldering certification preferred

Summary:

Maintains product quality standards by performing incoming, in-process, and finished goods inspection of electronic assemblies according to documentations and industry quality standards.

Requirements/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • IPC/J-STD certification
  • IPC/J-STD trainer certification a plus
  • ASQC certification a plus

Responsibilities and duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Approves incoming materials through verification of specifications; conducting visual inspection, functional testing and measurements; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

  • Approves in-process and finished goods production by verifying specifications according to approved documentation.

  • Performs inspection of printed circuit board assemblies according to IPC/J-STD criteria

  • Performs audits/inspection of assembly processes, quality data, calibration logs and others processes and control points.

  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work requirements; inputting data into quality database.

  • Assists in the creation, development, evaluation, and documentation of quality procedures and systems.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.

Experience:
Five or more years experience performing in-process and finished goods inspection of electronic assemblies in a production environment. Strong background and ability interpreting component and assembly drawings and performing inspections accordingly. Demonstrable ability to work in MS Word/Excel to create and record inspection logs/reports and other quality documents. Experience and knowledge of statistical inspection process and requirements.

Summary:

Manage the daily/weekly/monthly planning and drive the production/flow of small and large contract jobs involving printed circuit board assembly, cable assembly, and box builds.

Requirements:

5 to 10 years of experience with electronics manufacturing, assembly, and test, with 2+ years managing staff and processes is required. Must be highly driven toward making procedures and processes more efficient.

Responsibilities and duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Schedule daily production and execute to insure on time, on budget delivery of all jobs while maintaining the highest level of quality

  • Work with management to develop short and long range production schedules that insure the most effective utilization of staff and equipment

  • Develop, document and implement processes/procedures for all areas of the production that increase productivity, product quality and on time delivery

  • Analyze and report on actual vs quote for time & material costs for all projects

  • Interface in person, by phone, and email with customers to obtain specifications/requirements, schedule production and insure IMET meets the highest degree of customer satisfaction

  • Build and maintain close, effective customer relationships that can be leveraged to the benefit of the company

  • Lead individuals and teams to implement projects and processes as directed by senior management

  • Interface with engineering, purchasing and senior management as needed to insure production team success

  • Create individual goals and implement employee development process for all direct reports

  • Be the prime driver for continuous improvement on the production floor
