Patenting
In almost all cases (although not every case), it is
a very good idea to decide whether or not your idea is uniquely
patentable. It is important to protect your intellectual property
rights, and spending money on a prototype, only to find out
later that someone else already has ownership of that same idea
is a huge waste of many valuable resources.
If you have not yet performed this vital function, we can bring
a patent attorney in to perform a patent search and apply for
a patent if necessary.
Marketing
Marketing is another function that must be performed in order
to bring your product to market. We have associations with marketing
agencies who can help you market your product in the best way
possible.
Licensing/ Manufacturing
You may choose the route of trying to license your product to
a manufacturer who will then take care of the marketing and
the manufacturing in exchange for royalties for your patent
rights, or you may choose to take your product to a contract
manufacturer yourself and pay to produce as many units as you
can sell. Again, we have developed relationships with such parties
so that you can utilize their services.
Don’t Get Scammed!
It is a very unfortunate truth that many companies in our
industry are scam artists. Beware of companies that make extravagant
promises about “Free patent searches”, “Free inventor’s kits”, “Free
industry analysis”, etc. Most of these companies try to pull you
in with a free or low-priced offer. By the time they are done with
you, however, you may as well sign your bank account over to them.
